School Toolkit
The School Toolkit provides the resources to educate school staff about hemophilia, help them understand the challenges of hemophilia, lower the school personnel’s anxiety about hemophilia, and provide specific guidelines for dealing with injuries or emergencies.
The toolkit, packaged in an easy-to-carry case, includes:
- A flipchart with speaker’s notes for school presentations
- Fact Sheets for sharing specific information with school nurses, PE teachers and coaches, school counselors, and classmates, as well as details about team members’ responsibilities, factor, venous access and infusion, and guidelines for injury and emergency care plans
- Worksheets to track treatment plans, PE activities, and emergency contact information
- A CD-ROM with printable fact sheets, worksheets, flipchart content, and speaker’s notes
