A Hemophilia Community Program For Teens
When it comes to thinking about the future, having a bleeding disorder is only one consideration. Choosing friends, picking the right college, and determining a career path that offers happiness and financial stability are also important to think about. At least, they are considerations that adults in your life probably keep bringing up again and again. But stressing you out about the future is not what CEO is all about. In fact, other than maybe having to get up earlier that you’d like to get out of bed on a Saturday, you’ll find that CEO is, dare we say, “enjoyable.”
Why Attend CEO?
A trio of half-day modules designed to prepare young people with bleeding disorders for the road ahead, CEO gives you:
- Tools for goal setting, financial planning, and critical thinking
- Connection with other young people in the bleeding disorder community
- A platform to start thinking about college and career planning skills you’ll use: presentation, interview, teamwork, and leadership
- A chance to answer the question: What do you want to do with your life?
A unique program for the bleeding disorder community, CEO addresses topics like budgeting for dental and healthcare, and choosing a career that is right for a person with a bleeding disorder, as well as a good fit for your personality, likes, and financial requirements. CEO modules typically include around 10 participants, meaning that they are small enough for one-on-one interaction but big enough for community connections to be made. If you are a parent or caregiver, find out if we’ll be including one of our caregiver sessions.
